Terms of Use

1. About Us
After.surgery ("we", "us", "our") is a website providing general information, guides, and product recommendations relating to surgical recovery and wellbeing. We are an independent publisher.

You may share links to our content and quote brief excerpts with appropriate attribution, but you may not reproduce substantial portions of our content without written permission.
5. Recovery Plans, Purchases and Refunds
5.1 What you are buying
A recovery plan is a digital information product. It is generated from the answers you give about one operation and is written around the date you give us. One purchase covers one operation. If you have a second operation, that needs a second plan.
A plan is not a subscription. There is no renewal and nothing to cancel. Once bought, it remains available in your account for as long as your account exists.
5.2 Who you are buying from
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, who act as the merchant of record for the sale. Lemon Squeezy is the seller for the purposes of the transaction and handles payment, invoicing, and any sales tax or VAT. Their terms apply to the payment itself, and their name will appear on your statement and receipt.
5.3 Price and currency
The price shown before you pay is the price you pay. Our store settles in US dollars, so if a price is displayed to you in another currency it is a guide, and the amount charged will be the US dollar amount. This is stated on the page before you pay. Your bank may apply its own conversion or fees, over which we have no control.
Where a promotional or launch price is advertised with an end date, that date is honoured and the higher price applies afterwards.
5.4 Access, and your right to cancel
A plan is available immediately after payment. For consumers in the UK and the EU there is normally a 14-day right to cancel a distance purchase. By choosing to open your plan straight away you are asking for the service to begin during that period, and you acknowledge that you may lose the statutory right to cancel once it has been supplied.
We do not rely on that. See the refund policy below, which is more generous.
5.5 Refunds
If a plan is not useful to you, you can refund it yourself from the plan, within 14 days of buying it or within 14 days of your operation if that is later. We ask which of five things went wrong, because one of them we can fix for free without you losing the plan, and because it is the only way we learn what is wrong with it. You do not need to email anyone or wait for a reply. Refunds are returned by the original payment method and processed by Lemon Squeezy, which may take a few working days to appear.
Refunding closes the plan. You lose access to it, which is the trade for having the money back, so print it first if you want a record. Outside that window, or if something has gone wrong, email hello@after.surgery and a person will read it.
Three limits, none of which affect anybody acting in good faith. Refunds are per person rather than per purchase, so a repeated pattern of buying and refunding may be declined. Plans redeemed with a code from a hospital, clinic or insurer cost you nothing and so cannot be refunded to you. We may decline a refund where there is evidence of abuse.
5.6 Changing your answers
Each plan includes one change of the answers it was built from, including the operation and the date, so that a postponed operation or a mis-selected procedure can be corrected. Once that change has been used, contact us if something is genuinely wrong and we will help.
5.7 Codes issued by hospitals, clinics and insurers
Where an organisation has paid for plans on your behalf, redeeming their code gives you the same plan on the same terms at no cost to you. Codes are single use, may be limited to a particular operation, and may carry an expiry date set by the organisation that issued them.
5.8 Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has access to it. You may delete your account at any time as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close an account that is being used to abuse the service or to break these terms, and where we do so for a paid plan we will refund it.
5.9 Availability
We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. If we ever discontinue the service entirely, we will give reasonable notice and make your plan available to download or print before it is withdrawn.
6. Affiliate Links and Commercial Relationships
After.surgery participates in the Amazon Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn commissions by linking to Amazon. We may participate in other affiliate programs from time to time.
When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. We have no other advertising relationships, paid placements, or commercial arrangements with product manufacturers or healthcare providers. Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial independence.
All affiliate relationships are disclosed in accordance with applicable advertising regulations and consumer protection guidelines.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed from the remaining Terms, which shall remain in full force and effect.
15. Contact
