Refund Policy

1. Free Plan
The free plan is available at no cost and requires no payment details. No refund is applicable.
2. 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee
If you are not satisfied with your first subscription purchase, you may request a full refund within 7 days of the initial charge, with no questions asked.
This applies to the first billing of your subscription only. It does not apply to renewal charges or to subsequent subscriptions taken out after a previous subscription has been refunded.
To request a refund under this guarantee, please email us at hello@after.surgery with the subject line "Refund Request" and the email address associated with your account. We aim to process all refund requests within 5 business days. Funds typically appear back in your account within 5 to 10 business days depending on your card issuer.
3. Cancellations After 14 Days
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period: you retain access to paid features until that date, and no further charges are made.
Refunds are not issued for the remainder of a billing period after the 7-day guarantee window has passed. For example, if you are on a 6-month plan and cancel after 3 months, you will continue to have access until the end of the 6-month period but will not receive a refund for the unused portion.
4. Exceptional Circumstances
We consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis outside the 14-day window in the following circumstances:
- A billing error resulted in an incorrect charge;
- You were charged after cancelling your subscription due to a technical fault on our side;
- A significant technical failure on our part prevented you from accessing the service for an extended period.
If any of these apply, please contact us at hello@after.surgery with a description of the issue and, where relevant, supporting information. We will investigate promptly and respond within 5 business days.
5. Subscription Renewals
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. We do not issue refunds for renewal charges where you have had continued access to the service during the renewed period and have not contacted us within a reasonable time of the renewal date.
If you did not intend to renew, please contact us as soon as possible after the renewal charge. While we cannot guarantee a refund in all cases, we will always consider requests made promptly and in good faith.
6. How Refunds Are Processed
Refunds are returned to the original payment method used at the time of purchase, processed through Stripe. We are unable to issue refunds via bank transfer, cash, or any method other than the original card. Stripe's processing times and your card issuer's policies may affect when the funds appear in your account.
7. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge was unauthorised or in error, please contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank. We are usually able to resolve billing issues much more quickly by working directly with you. Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may result in your account being suspended while the dispute is investigated.
